Digitial Project Manager

Our client is looking for a Digital Project Manager to coordinate and publish distinctive content across digital and print platforms.  The role will focus on production-related processes and resources, with strong editing, fact-checking, and content management support for the digital publishing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate a range of products and programs to ensure that projects are completed, approved, published, and promoted to meet tight deadlines.
  • Project related responsibilities may include: Identify project tasks, owners, dependencies, and overall timelines to craft end-to-end plans. Communicate those plans to ensure alignment, and monitor progress, keep track of resource needs, identify potential roadblocks or changes, and proactively address issues. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Oversee the overall team’s pipeline to ensure proper prioritization and resource allocation, as well as adherence to timelines.
  • Lead projects/workstreams independently or with a designated team.
  • Stay up to date on business news and trends, to ensure communications are in touch with current public discussion/research and aligned with the client’s position.
  • Independently manage freelance/agency resources related to your own projects. You may be asked to engage in additional ad hoc email and other editorial projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree; advanced degree in journalism, marketing, or communications a plus
  • 7-10 years of experience in a business writing and editing, including digital publishing, preferably for an English-language business publication or professional-services firm
  • An understanding of global business trends
  • Data literacy and familiarity with audience engagement (e.g., SEO, social media)
  • Strong mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) and team share tools (e.g., Box, Slack, Zoom)
  • Proficiency and fluency in verbal and written English is required
  • Excellent editorial skills (e.g., writing, editing), judgement, and business literacy, with ability to rapidly absorb complex ideas and distill them into accessible copy for global audiences
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation)
  • Confidence in interactions with senior staff and subject matter experts, and strong ability to achieve consensus across multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to relay strategies, goals, and project status to both technical and nontechnical partners effectively
  • Positive attitude and team orientation
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations, evaluate options, and make decisions to drive projects forward
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage complex processes, and meet short- and long-term deadlines
  • Ability to work independently in a low-structure environment and to deal with ambiguity; understanding of when to proactively seek guidance, and willingness to do so
