IT Asset Recovery Coordinator

Location: On-site – Corporate Office (In-Office Required) –Lewisville, TX
Contract, 12 months+

Position Summary

The IT Asset Recovery Coordinator is responsible for managing the lifecycle of returned IT equipment across Client. This role ensures efficient recovery, tracking, refurbishment, and proper disposal of mobile devices, laptops, and other IT hardware. This position works closely with ITAD (IT Asset Disposition) vendors, internal IT teams, and logistics partners to maintain accurate inventory, reduce waste, and maximize asset reuse.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Recovery & Logistics

- Coordinate pickup, transport, and processing of retired IT assets with approved ITAD vendors

- Schedule and track bulk hardware pickups across corporate and field locations

- Ensure proper chain-of-custody documentation for all recovered equipment

- Monitor vendor performance, SLAs, and compliance requirements ITAD & Disposal Management

- Partner with ITAD vendors to ensure secure data destruction and environmentally responsible disposal

- Validate certificates of destruction and recycling documentation

- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards Returns Processing & Inventory

- Receive and unbox returned equipment shipments at corporate

- Inspect, sort, and categorize returned devices (reuse, repair, recycle)

- Re-stock reusable equipment into inventory systems

- Coordinate refurbishment or repair workflows as needed Inventory & Asset Tracking

- Maintain accurate asset records across systems (MDM, asset management tools, spreadsheets, etc.)

- Track device status from return through redeployment or disposal

- Reconcile inventory discrepancies and conduct periodic audits]

Collaboration & Support

- Work with Mobility, End User Support, and Procurement teams to align inventory needs

- Support device refresh programs by ensuring recovered inventory is available for redeployment

- Communicate status updates on asset recovery efforts and inventory levels

Qualifications Required

- 2+ years experience in IT operations, asset management, logistics, or similar role

- Experience handling IT hardware (laptops, mobile devices, peripherals)

- Strong organizational and tracking skills

- Ability to manage multiple workflows and vendors simultaneously

- Proficiency with spreadsheets and inventory tracking systems

- Ability to work on-site full-time at the corporate office (this is an in-office required role)

Preferred

- Experience working with ITAD vendors or asset disposition programs

- Familiarity with MDM platforms (e.g., Intune, Workspace ONE)

- Knowledge of data destruction standards and compliance practices

- Experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environments
